Using SpecMeasure

SpecMeasure provides indicative material calculations, project records, visual installation build-ups, reports and optional customer-management tools. You may use the service for lawful internal personal or business purposes under these terms. You remain responsible for project inputs, site conditions, specification decisions and the final installation.

Accounts and CRM access

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorised access. CRM access is disabled by default and may only be issued, varied or withdrawn by a SpecMeasure administrator. A trial, subscription or business licence may have additional written terms, user limits, support arrangements and charges.

Our intellectual property

SpecMeasure and its licensors retain all rights in the platform and its original materials, including the software, source and object code, interface and visual design, brand, wording, documentation, calculator logic and presentation, data structures, report layouts, product-library structure, visual layer and system builder, exploded build-up presentation, textures, graphics and other original content. Access to the service does not transfer ownership of any of these rights.

You may not, without prior written permission, copy, reproduce, republish, frame, scrape, extract, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit a substantial part of SpecMeasure; create a competing or derivative calculator, product library, layer builder or reporting product from it; remove ownership notices; or reverse engineer or attempt to obtain its source code, except to the limited extent that a right cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your information

You retain your rights in project, customer and business information you enter. You grant SpecMeasure the limited permission needed to host, process, back up, display and export that information in order to provide, secure and support the service. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right and lawful basis to enter it.

Manufacturer information

Manufacturer names, trade marks, product images, descriptions and published technical data remain the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion identifies compatible product records and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or a commercial relationship unless expressly stated.

Calculations and professional judgement

All quantities are estimates based on the inputs and product data available at the time. You must confirm current technical data, suitability, substrate preparation, application depth, joint dimensions, dilution, environmental conditions, wastage and pack sizes before purchase or installation. SpecMeasure is not a substitute for a manufacturer’s technical data sheet, site assessment, professional specification or competent installer judgement.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service unlawfully; interfere with its security or availability; introduce malicious code; access another user’s workspace; upload unnecessary sensitive information; automate excessive requests; misrepresent calculations as guaranteed specifications; or use SpecMeasure in a way that infringes another person’s rights. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, data, the platform or our legal position.

Availability, changes and termination

We may correct product information, improve or replace features, impose reasonable usage limits, suspend maintenance or withdraw a feature. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every record will remain current. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination, access may end and information may be deleted after a reasonable export or retention period, subject to legal requirements and any separate business agreement.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpecMeasure is not liable for losses caused by inaccurate inputs, reliance on an estimate, changed manufacturer data, unsuitable product selection, missed reminders, user-entered customer information or failure to follow current technical guidance. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or affects mandatory consumer rights.

Business licences

Company-wide, white-label, sponsored, integration, data-feed or external contractor use requires a separate written licence. Unless that agreement expressly says otherwise, SpecMeasure retains ownership of the platform, generic features, underlying intellectual property and improvements.
